Additional Training for Registered Hawks 12 and Older

 

We've been offered an excellent opportunity for additional training with an experienced former player.

 

Joel Cooper recently moved into the neighborhood and has offered to run weekly sessions at Walker Homesites on Diamond 2 and in the batting cage.

 

Joel has won Canadian Championships while playing with the Windsor Stars, and Windsor Selects. He played JUCO college ball in California and Kentucky and attended the IMG Academy in FLorida. He also played one season with St Clair and won a Provincial Championship. Joel finished his baseball career playing in leagues in BC and Mexico.

 

All of this experience has given Joel exposure to countless successful baseball players and coaches and taught him not just baseball skills but also life lessons he wants to share with the community.

 

Sessions will be Tuesday nights, 5:30-8:00 starting Tuesday June 10th and are open to all of Walker Homesites players 12 and older at no additional charge. 

 

Focus will be on:

- Stretching 

- Hitting 

- Fielding 

- Base running 

- Live circumstances game 

 

In addition to:

- Workout program 

- Footwork 

- Body language 

- Baseball IQ 

- Fundamentals 

- Superior Work ethic

 

Joel would like to have occasional scrimmages so the more we have turn out the better. If any of our coaches are available to help out I know Joel would appreciate the assist as well.
